A two-day workshop on development of digital strategies for museums with a follow-up day revising the progress of the work – led by Jasper Visser, Inspired by Coffee.

The objectives of the workshop are  to:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of digital strategies for museum through the Digital Engagement Framework
  • Create a shared ambition and individual objectives and values for a full digital strategy
  • Create the input for an actionable digital strategy report for the organization
  • Design specific activities, campaigns and projects that reach and engage audiences
  • Exchange ideas and knowledge and create enthusiasm for digital engagement
  • Increase the participants’ knowledge and skills about the successful use of digital media

The Digital Engagement Framework (DEF) has been developed by Jasper Visser in collaboration with Jim Richardson of Sumo and is based on years of experience in implementing digital media in cultural organizations. As such, it allows everyone to design a successful digital engagement strategy for their organization in a team workshop or more individual process.

The DEF lets you discover your organizationʼs digital potential by asking questions about your target audiences, key assets, organizational vision and much more. The Framework allows you to design campaigns and projects that engage and reach out to people.

In a two-day workshop, participants will design a comprehensive digital strategy for their organization that is both visionary and actionable. They will learn tools and methodology to implement a digital strategy in their organization and get up-to-date on the latest trends in digital media.

Follow-up day

On the follow-up day, the participants in the workshop will present their progress, the challenges they face discussed, and their strategies revised.

The workshop has been funded by the Educational Funds under the Ministry of Culture's Educational Plan for Danish Museums.

The workshop will be in English.

About Jasper:

Jasper is a cultural innovator, digital strategist and co-founder of Inspired by Coffee, an agency for digital strategy. He helps organisations discover new ways to reach and engage their audiences with a special focus on new media, technology and innovative business models. Jasper worked on a variety of projects worldwide, most notably the Museum of National History in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for digital strategy and participation.
